Asbestos Removal Australia publishes information and refers enquiries. We are not a licensed asbestos removal company and we do not quote a licence number we do not hold. The qualifications that matter sit with the assessor and removalist you hire — confirm them on the state register. Always engage a licensed asbestos professional.
Definition
Class A and Class B. Under the model WHS framework, Class A licensed removalists can remove friable and non-friable asbestos. Class B covers non-friable work. The licence is issued by the state or territory where the work happens. This site does not issue either class.
Direct answer
Check the licence on the regulator’s register. Do not take a website, a van, or this page as proof. Safe Work Australia explains the WHS duties and licence classes; the live register is state-based. This historic /experience-qualifications/ path stays live so inbound links do not die. It is not a company CV we invented.
What this site is qualified to do
We write educational pages, keep historic URLs alive, and take referral requests through contact us. We are not qualified to remove asbestos, issue clearance, analyse a bulk sample, or speak for Safe Work Australia, ASEA, or a state regulator. We will not fill a “years in business” paragraph with a company history we do not have.
If you arrived here looking for proof that we hold Class A, stop. We do not publish a licence number. The person who attends must have one. Verify it.
What a homeowner should ask the person who attends
- Class A or Class B, and does it match friable versus non-friable?
- Is the licence current in this state? A NSW licence does not automatically cover a Melbourne job.
- Who is the licensed asbestos assessor for air monitoring and clearance on a Class A job?
- How will waste be packaged and which approved facility will take it? Ask for the category of facility, not for this website to invent a name.
- What written scope will you receive before anyone cuts?
We will not fill those answers with invented company history, insurance policy numbers, or training-course logos. Safe Work Australia’s public WHS-duties page is the framework: WHS duties.
How to read a register entry
Search the regulator for the business name and the licence number they gave you. Check the class, the expiry, and any conditions. “Asbestos” on a magnetic sign is not a class. A screenshot of a certificate from 2014 is not a current entry. If the name on the van does not match the name on the register, ask why before anyone opens a wall.
