What Melbourne renovations keep disturbing
The jobs that show up against this hub are predictable. A weatherboard eave drilled for a sensor light in Brunswick. A cream-brick soffit water-blasted “to freshen it” in the outer east. A 1970s bathroom behind a terrace in Carlton North. Vinyl tiles under a later floor in a Frankston kitchen. A fibro paling fence on a Dandenong corner after a northerly. Switchboard backing in a laundry that has never been opened.
Winter damp and summer heat do not make cement sheet safer to sand. Paint hides product names. A neighbour who “has seen fibro before” is not a NATA laboratory.
